Of Blackest night, and other events

(I am more or less forced o write this in english, since I don't currently have access to an azerty computer. Anyhoo...) Reading the (relatively slow) beginning of DC s main event this year, entitled Blackest Night, which centers on a highly kickass concept (zombie superheroes !), I think it could be interesting to compare it to some other previous events, both successful and disappointing. Not being a complete comic-crazed fan, I have only read other events, which are - Infinite crisis, convoluted, confusing, but well...

Final Crisis : Superman Beyond #2

Grant Morrison - Script Doug Mahnke - Pencils Christian Alamy w/ Tom Nguyen - Inks David Baron - Colors This follow-up on one of the most psychedelic comics ever has one major problem : its delay. Previous issue was published in August, and even though I'm not the fanboy type who gets angry every time the shipping date gets changed, it has had some incidence on the rest of the story (especially Final Crisis #6). I don't mind it that much, especially considering how good this one is, but it's added to the overall confusion... [Lire la suite]

Final Crisis #6 - Review

Grant Morrison - Script JG Jones, Carlos Pacheco, Doug Mahnke, Marco Rudy, Christian Alamy, Jesus Merino - Art Alex Sinclair, Pete Pantazis - Colors Spoilers, obviously Ok, let's open by acknowledging my personal perspective on this : throughout all the twists and turns, all the weirdness and sometimes awkwardness I've experienced during the reading of 'Final Crisis', I've found it quite enjoyable, and sometimes just plain awesome. I'll get into that with more precision when the hardcover comes out and it's presented as an... [Lire la suite]
